CONFESSIONS OF A POP FAN 2.0

SECRET TO THE END

July 3, 2014 Jamie S Rich

I like that A Boy and a Girl is already becoming one of those books that people keep discovering.

Natalie drew the above illustration of Charley while at a convention in France last month.

And we just got another great review, this time from one of the writers at Smart Bitches, Trashy Books. Yes, she only gives us a C+, but because she had such an emotional response to the ending of the book. I like that the comic moved her so much.

It’s hard to review this book because it’s full of twists that I don’t want to spoil.  It’s also hard to review because the ending threw me off so completely in the last 12 pages that now I’m like a little gif of confusion and panic.  And yet I still want everyone in the whole world to read it, because so much of it is so good, but I want to warn everyone not to read it, because the ending made me so unhappy.

It's very fair reasoning, when you read the whole piece. I hope to hear more reactions like this over time. I'm sadistic!

Current Soundtrack: Depeche Mode, Delta Machine

CONFESSIONS OF A POP FAN 2.0

A place for news on my books and other publications, and the occasional random musing.

You are also encouraged to subscribe to the companion tumblr, Midi-Confessions123. It's devoted to detailing what pop culture consumables I have partaken of.

Since 2002, I've been blogging about the world we live in and life in general, as well as shilling my wares, over at my Confessons of a Pop Fan blog. That site is still available on blogger and will remain there as long as they allow. I feel it best to let it be an archive rather than roll everything over.

Confessions of a Pop Fan is named for my favorite Style Council album, Confessions of a Pop Group.
